Keepers of the Wood OOAK Fantasy Sculptures by Kendra M Gilbert Currently Available

My full name is Kendra Marie Gilbert. Totally infatuated with Magick of Faeries, Unicorns, Merhorses, Mermaids, Goblins and all the strange creatures of the deepest corners of imagination. By the age of 9 I had an award winning art portfolio. I'm also a writer and creator of the World of Mystica where many of my sculptures are based on. My writing is original and copyright. I get my inspiration from the many years I spent living in the Country, we called it "The Bottoms" Going to places like the Crystal Mines & other places inhabited by Mother Nature's creations. Art runs in my family, My mother was an established oil painter as well as one of the first clown doll artists in the late 70's Using a special technique involving Styrofoam and draping. She lovingly handcrafted her creations and also hand painted them. She won recognition by "Circus World" and offered contract. Her clowns were also featured in "Small World" a fine art gallery featuring clown dolls in Sarasota Florida. Watching my mother's passion for art come to an early and abrupt end after her suffering a massive stroke and loosing her ability to create inspired me even more to follow in her footsteps and try to become what she had to let go of. Sculpting has now become a passion of mine, I started making fantasy style bottles and fairy houses, then stumbled upon the art of OOAK dolls. I have been hooked ever since. All my work is original from the use of my own two hands and special tools. I do not use molds in the creation of any of my art dolls. Thank you for your interest!
